Cobol Contract Jobs UK Europe DACH Nordic 6-18 months on site EU speakers welcome

On behalf of our customer we are looking for a Cobol Developers to work in UK  EU DACH on a contract basis.

Long-term 6-12+ month contracts with possible extension 
Good rates, ongoing needs
Location: UK and EU

Job responsibilities:

1. Provides development of projects involving application development, migrations, and additions to existing mainframe applications.
2. Supports the COBOL and JCL development including enhancements and maintenance on Mortgage Servicing Platform (MSP) for performing & non performing servicing.
3. Participates in project meetings with other technical staff, business owners and subject matter experts.
4. Reviews application in progress of development to ensure compliance with overall design parameters and corporate development standards.
5. Develops unit tests and reviews development of test protocols for testing application before user acceptance.
6. Reviews test results and supports further development.
7. Provides technical support to COBOL applications currently in production.
8. Performs other related duties as assigned.

Job requirements:

• Minimum 5 years experience working with COBOL
• Experience building and supporting IBM Mainframe applications
• Excellent analytical, decision-making and problem-solving skills
• Ability to communicate well both verbally and in writing to technical and non-technical audiences 
• EU national applicants only or applicants who have valid Freelancer Resident work permit only for EU.
